🏰 New Legislation Regarding Bouncy Castle Hire
Dear Members,
Following up on our previous news update from 11 October 2024 (Read here), we would like to provide you with the latest developments regarding the new legislation on safety testing and the hiring of inflatable units.
Although the law has been passed, its commencement has been delayed due to minor complications with other unrelated aspects of the Planning and Development Act.
However, the section of the legislation relating to fairgrounds—specifically the provision that will make it illegal to hire out bouncy castles or any inflatable units without valid certification—has been finalised. This provision is expected to be enacted once the unrelated delays are resolved.
🔍 What You Need to Do
To prepare for the enforcement of this legislation and remain fully compliant with insurance requirements, a valid safety certificate is required for all insured units.
We ask that all certificates be submitted by email to info@iihf.ie. Our partners at Arachas will review them to ensure your units meet the necessary policy conditions.
