The Irish Inflatable Hirers Federation (IIHF) was set up in 2011 to address the need for best practice in the Bouncy Castle hire and Private Inflatable hire business and now has a membership of over 110 inflatable hirers nationwide.

The purpose of the Irish Inflatable Hirers Federation is to promote safer inflatable hire throughout Ireland and help the public choose responsible, insured and legally compliant operators.
Inflatable play equipment must be properly manufactured, maintained, operated and inspected. The European safety standard EN 14960:2019 establishes important safety requirements for inflatable play equipment, including its design, construction, operation and annual inspection.
Irish legislation also requires inflatables made available for public use to have a current Certificate of Safety issued by a Suitably Qualified Individual (SQI).
IIHF members are committed to maintaining appropriate insurance, current safety certification and responsible operating practices. Through the IIHF, parents, schools, community groups, businesses and event organisers can identify operators who take their safety responsibilities seriously.
